Colorado River Watch is recruiting new volunteers to monitor water quality and other indicators of watershed health for Colorado waters. Volunteers must make a several year commitment to the program and be willing to sample at a designated station monthly for metals, nutrients and other parameters. Scientists and science educators who are participating in expeditions to Antarctica for the 2007-2008 season are sending virtual postcards to UCAR's 'Windows to the Universe' website describing what they are learning and what it's like to do science in Antarctica. The Penguin Science team will again be in Antarctica studying the Adelie penguins of Ross Island, making a documentary film and looking at how these penguins are coping with climate change...
